This Week's Haul — March 2026
Hit three storage units on a recent run. A 1970s Pyrex set, a cast iron skillet, and a trunk full of old National Geographics. Here's the breakdown.
When it's time to restock, I wake up early and hit the auctions. This run was a good one.
Unit #1 — Iron Ridge, WI
The moment the door rolled up I could smell it — that familiar mix of old cardboard, motor oil, and treasure. Right in front was a 1970s Pyrex Friendship bowl set in near-perfect condition. Four bowls, no chips. Grabbed them for $3 in the lot. Listing them at $18.
Also found a cast iron skillet — no markings, which usually means pre-1950. Heavy as a brick and already seasoned. Listing it at $35.
Unit #2 — Dodge County
Mostly junk in this one, but buried under a pile of old clothes was a trunk full of National Geographic magazines from the 1960s. Grabbed the lot for $5. Pulled out the 10 best issues — listing them together for $22.
What didn't make the cut
A broken recliner, three bags of old VHS tapes (no player to test them), and a water-damaged box of romance novels. Sometimes you win, sometimes you haul.
